Animals have been part of Frankie’s life for as long as she can remember. Long before Awesome Pride & Groom existed, there were dogs, horses and a deep appreciation for the trust animals place in the people caring for them.

Frankie’s route into grooming was not a perfectly planned career path. After relocating, an opportunity arose to help a friend who was a groomer for two days a week. She took it, discovered a profession she loved and continued learning. What began as Awesome Pawsome Services later evolved and rebranded into Awesome Pride & Groom, reflecting a business that had grown into much more than grooming alone.

 

Qualified, Experienced and Always Learning

 

Frankie holds City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications in professional dog grooming and has developed her skills through both education and practical experience. She has attended online and in person grooming competitions and is proud to have performed well while continuing to learn from others within the industry. She is also listed with The Groomers Spotlight and plans to join the British Isles Grooming Association.

Her professional background extends well beyond grooming. A BSc Honours degree in Adult Nursing and further critical care study helped develop qualities that remain central to her work today: observation, empathy, calm decision making, professionalism and an understanding that good care should always be individual.

 

A Life Built Around Animals

 

Home is shared with dogs, sheep, cows, chickens and fish, while horses have also been part of Frankie’s life since childhood. This is not a business where animals appear when the working day begins and disappear when it ends. They are part of everyday life.

That is why the promise behind Awesome Pride & Groom is so simple: we care for the dogs entrusted to us as we would want our own to be cared for.

 

What We Believe Good Dog Care Looks Like

 

We believe owners deserve honesty, even when the right advice is not necessarily what they expected to hear. A coat may no longer be suitable for hand stripping. A matted coat may need a different plan than the style an owner originally hoped for. A dog new to grooming may need time and introductions before being expected to cope confidently with a full appointment.

Good professional care means explaining why, listening to the owner and making decisions with the dog’s welfare at the centre. It also means never treating every dog as though they are the same.

 

Welcome to Our Family Environment

 

Some dogs first come to us for grooming and later become daycare or home boarding clients. That means a dog can build familiarity with the people, smells and surroundings here, rather than meeting a completely new environment every time their owner needs a different type of care.

We want Awesome Pride & Groom to feel professional enough that you trust our judgement and warm enough that you feel comfortable asking questions. Most importantly, we want your dog to feel safe, understood and welcome.
